FREE concert on the lawn at Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill

Brass Band Concert: 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM
Lemonade, wine, beer and other refreshments will be available for purchase*.

Spend a lazy summer afternoon listening to The Walnut Street Ragtime Ramblers in one of Kentucky’s most inspiring settings. Bring your blankets and chairs, spread out on the lawn near the historic Trustees’ Office and delight in this new festival event. Enjoy a meal in the Trustees’ Office Dining Room before or after the concert or extend your festival experience with an overnight getaway at The Inn at Shaker Village.

Late this evening there was a band of musicians that came to serenade this place. This is what is called a brass band. This is the first time that musical instruments were ever played in our dwelling houses in my day.
