Looking for an unforgettable wildlife experience? Cruise down the Kentucky River through a Great Blue Heron rookery with an up close view of a breeding colony during nesting season. The cruise will be led by an experienced birding authority.
 
Blue Herons nest in substantial colonies, building large stick nests in a cluster of dead trees. The colony along the Kentucky River Palisades is inaccessible by land and consists of 30-40 nests. Bring your binoculars for this must see for wildlife encounter.
