Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill will be holding its 14th annual Craft Fair on August 8-9, 2009.
As one of the state’s premier craft events, the Shaker Village Craft Fair features the elite among regional artisans, as well as up-and-coming new artists. The juried event showcases handmade pottery, jewelry, glass ware, woven rugs, needle craft, basketry, leather goods, as well as Shaker reproductions.
“The show has something for everyone. You can find unique, quality items you won’t find anywhere else,” said Lorrin Ingerson, Shaker Village Craft Store Manager. “We are honored that the fair has been chosen in the past as one of the Top Five Festivals in Kentucky by participating artisans.”
The Shaker Village Craft Fair runs from 9:30 am – 5:00 pm on Saturday, August 8 and from 10:00 am – 4:30 pm on Sunday, August 9. Reduced admission is $10 for ages 13 and above, $3 for ages 6-12 and free for children five and under.
The annual Shaker Village Craft Fair is organized to raise funds for the preservation of Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill, a non-profit organization and National Historic Landmark
