The Carpenter's Shop Craft Store, one of Kentucky's premiere craft retailers, offers fine handmade crafts that demonstrate Shaker simplicity and high-quality craftsmanship. The Carpenter's Shop is the largest of three craft sales areas located at Shaker Village.

During your visit to Shaker Village, shop for signature oval boxes, tightly-sewn brooms and other gifts. The store also carries traditional children's toys, weaving, baskets, candles, apothecary items, woodenware, chair tape, books and much more.

All merchandise is painstakingly handmade by regional artists, including products made at Shaker Village using techniques that made the Shaker name synonymous with quality.

The Carpenter's Shop building was built in 1812 and originally housed the Shakers' carpenter and blacksmith shops. Prior to the restoration of Shaker Village, the building was used as a general store and gas station.
