Monarch Butterfly Tagging
Saturday, September 21 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
Each fall, hundreds of millions of monarch butterflies migrate from the United States to warmer regions in Mexico and California. The monarch migration is one of the world's greatest natural wonders, yet it is threatened by habitat loss. Take an easy hike through The Preserve and learn how its wildflowers serve as important habitat for butterflies and other essential pollinators, then help tag monarchs to track and monitor their annual migration. Along the way, discuss plants you can grow in your own yard to help save the monarchs.
