2023 Photography Workshops

Two Workshops in 2023

Join photographer Carol Peachee as she leads two unique, hands-on workshops to explore the elements of a good photograph. Set in the inspirational backdrop of Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill, these 4-hour workshops can be taken in sequence, or independently.  Participants are certain to leave feeling inspired, and with a greater confidence in their ability to take great photos.

Participants must be at least 18 years of age, and will need to bring their own camera. Cameras my range from phones to 35mm, but participants must have a basic working knowledge of their own camera.

Elements of a Good Photograph 1

Saturday, July 22 | 10:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Elements of a Good Photograph 1 explores how to use the basic elements that go into capturing a strong image, including light, texture, color, patterns, lines and contrast. In the first half of the workshop (10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.) participants will explore these elements by looking at example images and discussing how to achieve elemental effects.

During the second half of the workshop (1:30 p.m.- 3:30 p.m.) participants will have an opportunity to go out into the Village to practice with the elements, then return to analyze and discuss our results. You will leave this day with a deeper understanding of how to capture dynamic photos, and a curiosity to explore the world of photography beyond point and shoot!

Cost:
$75 Annual Passholder
$85 Non-Annual Passholder
