2024 Monarch Butterfly Tagging
Saturday, September 14, 2024 | 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
The annual monarch butterfly migration is one of the world's greatest natural wonders, yet it is threatened by habitat loss. Take an easy hike through the Preserve and learn how its wildflowers serve as important habitat for butterflies and other essential pollinators, then help tag monarchs to track and monitor their annual migration. We will also be on the lookout for other beautiful species of butterflies to observe and discuss. Along the way, we'll cover some pollinator-friendly plants that you can grow in your own yard.
