Each Fresh Food Adventure has an all-inclusive fixed dinner and spirits menu. Please communicate any special dietary restrictions in advance. Availability is limited and advanced registration and non-refundable prepayment required.

Fresh Food Adventures are communal dining experiences, and guests should expect to share their table with other dining enthusiasts.

Parties wishing to sit together and guests with special dietary considerations should email [email protected] at least one week in advance to ensure accommodations.

Please follow on-site directional signage to event location and plan on checking in 15 minutes prior to the event start time. Event tickets will not be mailed in advance.

Kentucky Heritage Jazz Festival

To aid in preventing the spread of the COVID-19 virus and it’s variants we are recommending that all Jazz Festival attendees wear a mask when a social distance of six feet cannot be maintained. Masks will be required for anyone using shuttle services. Hand sanitizing and washing stations will be located throughout the festival, and permanent public restrooms will be cleaned frequently throughout the event.

World-Class Jazz Performances in an Iconic Setting

Live jazz in an historic outdoor setting? Sounds like the perfect combination for a September weekend!

In partnership with the Fort Harrod Jazz Festival, Shaker Village is proud to host this incredible jazz performance at Kentucky's largest National Historic Landmark.

Free Admission to Shaker Village On September 18 & 19!

Through the generous sponsorship of Family Wealth Group, Shaker Village is pleased to offer FREE admission to all visitors on September 18 and 19. Your admission provides access to the Jazz Festival, along with dozens of historic exhibits, guided tours and other engaging experiences across the 3,000 acre property.

A Weekend of Fun

Performances will take place from Noon-10:00 pm on Saturday and Noon-6:00 pm on Sunday. The main stage will be located on the lawn just north of the Shaker Village Welcome Center, with event parking located nearby. Food trucks will be parked close by, along with an outdoor bar for festival attendees.

* Please bring your own lawn chair to ensure seating.
* This is an outdoor concert, so please check the weather forecast and prepare accordingly.
* Small canopies and umbrellas will be allowed, but only in designated areas.
* Coolers are not permitted.
* Bottled water will be on sale, and guests are encouraged to bring their own water as well.
* Outside alcohol is not permitted.

Join our interpretive team for this "spirited" program that explores some of Pleasant Hill's darker and more macabre moments.

Your guided stroll will begin in front of the 1839 Trustees' Office, where lanterns will be distributed for those tours occurring after dark. As you walk along the historic turnpike, you will hear a selection of journal entries and stories, preserved from the Shakers of Pleasant Hill, that will be sure to send a tingle down your spine.

Your journey will end at the 1811 Shaker Cemetery, where you will learn more about the burial traditions of this now departed community.

During the holiday season, Shaker Village will bustle with light-hearted moments that remind us of long-ago winter days filled with wonder and laughter. Make time to delight in life’s simple gifts with family and friends, as lively music, merriment and candlelight illuminate the Village.

In addition to our regular Holiday festivities, Illuminated Evenings will feature holiday music, roaring fires and twinkling lights! December 4, 11, and 18 will feature different performers, programs and tours.

Donations – Donations of new gloves, hats, scarves and non-perishable food for the Shaker Village Giving Tree are encouraged in place of regular $5 admission and will be given to local families in need.

The Shops Extended Hours – The shops have been filled to the brim with new merchandise brought in to celebrate the holiday season.

The Elf Shop – Create a unique holiday craft and write your own letter to Santa.

Bonfires & Hot Chocolate Stations – Warm up around our fire pits while you roast marshmallows and enjoy delicious complimentary hot chocolate and spiced cider.

Special Holiday Music – Enjoy special performances from regional musicians in the 1820 Meeting House.

Candlelight Tours - Explore the charm of Shaker Village by candlelight while learning about the holiday traditions of the Shakers. Reserve your ticket here.

Jingle Bell Shuttle - Encircle the historic Village on a "decked out" hay wagon as you learn about Kentucky's largest National Historic Landmark.

Bring the kids for a fun and spooky evening along the Village road gathering treats (and maybe even a trick or two)!

Take a hayride, enjoy live music, food + drink, and warm up by the bonfires. Make a kids’ craft in-between candy stops and take part in our selfie station costume contest.
