The Shakers' daily life revolved around agriculture, and access to locally grown food improved the quality of life and health of the community. Today, our Village is still at work raising fresh ingredients for The Trustees’ Table. Try your hand at experimenting with fresh summer flavors while exploring some of these ingredients down to their roots.

All ages are welcome. Meet outside The Trustees' Office 10 minutes before the program. Note: This is a garden tour with a sampling of fresh ingredients, and does not include meal or food prepared by the Trustees’ Table.

Are you ready for a late afternoon adventure through the Palisades? Paddle the Kentucky and Dix rivers as sunset falls over the cliffs. This 2-and-a-half hour guided trip is led by Canoe Kentucky and leaves from nearby Shaker Landing.

Suitable for ages 12 and older. Program fee includes one complimentary admission to Shaker Village and one voucher redeemable day-of for 20% off dining at the Trustees’ Table (excluding alcoholic beverages).

* Shaker Village Sunset Paddles are weather-dependent, and may be cancelled if river levels are unsafe. In these cases the decision to cancel will be made 24 hours prior to the event and a full refund will be issued to each registered participant.
