2026 Signs of Spring in the Preserve

Join members of the Preserve Team for a hike into the woods to look for signs of spring activity! As the forest slowly wakes up from a long winter dormancy, plants, animals, and other life start to change and prepare for the growing season. From early ephemeral plants like the Harbinger of Spring (Erigenia bulbosa) to the changing birdsongs as migrants begin to arrive, we're sure to encounter the promise of spring.
General Admission: $15

This walk will take place outdoors, rain or shine. Participants will traverse approximately 1 mile. Signs of Spring in the Preserve does not include admission to Shaker Village's exhibits and Daily Adventures.
All minors must be accompanied by a ticketed adult. Tickets required for all hike attendees. Dogs are not permitted.
Registered attendees who book an overnight stay at The Inn receive a 30% discount, applied at checkout. (Overnight stay must be for the date immediately preceding or succeeding the program. Discount applies to one night. Cannot be combined with
other offers.)
