Join us for a special afternoon hike as Shaker Village celebrates Earth Day 2026. This year, the theme of "Our Power, Our Planet" invites us all to engage as citizen scientists, caring for our communities, our natural resources, and our planet Earth. Led by Shaker Village's environmental educator, program participants will learn about water quality testing, help catch and log macroinvertebrates, and discover how Shaker Village safely disposes of gray water and sewage.

This program is intended for ages 8+. Tickets required for all attendees. Dogs are not permitted. Programs take place rain
or shine.

Tickets include complimentary admission to Shaker Village's daily tours and programming.

Registered attendees who book an overnight stay at The Inn receive a 30% discount, applied at checkout. (Overnight stay must be for the date immediately preceding or succeeding the program. Discount applies to one night. Cannot be combined with other offers. Overnight stay must be booked through Shaker Village and not through a 3rd party website.)

This week we’re extending an invitation for our Mercer County neighbors to enjoy Shaker Village, free of charge! Whether it has been 10 days or 10 years since your last visit, we’re excited to show you what’s happening just around the corner.

Mercer County residents with a valid ID may attend daily programs and exhibits at no cost. Admission to some attractions will be limited, and all guests must receive their complimentary passes at the Shaker Village Welcome Center upon arrival.

All adults must have valid ID demonstrating Mercer County residence to receive free admission. Children under age 18, accompanied by a qualifying adult, will also be extended free admission. Does not apply to group rates.

During the holiday season, Shaker Village will bustle with light-hearted moments that remind us of long-ago winter days filled with wonder and laughter. Make time to delight in life’s simple gifts with family and friends, as lively music, merriment and candlelight illuminate the Village.

Meet Santa & Mrs. Claus - Take a picture with Santa in the cozy Farm Deacon's Shop. He'll be available and ready to pose at no additional charge from 4-8:00 p.m. You can also catch his No. 1 helper, Mrs. Claus, sharing some of her favorite holiday tales during storytime at 4:30p.m., 5:00p.m. and 5:30p.m.

The Elf Shop – Stop by this special maker space to create your own homemade holiday crafts and ornaments.

Bonfires & Hot Drink Stations – Warm up around our fire pits while you roast marshmallows and enjoy delicious, complimentary hot chocolate and spiced cider.

Music in the Meeting House – Enjoy special performances from regional musicians in the 1820 Meeting House.

Shaker Music & Christmas Carols – Join one of Shaker Village’s musicians for a performance of Shaker holiday music and caroling sing-along at 5pm and 6pm.

Jingle Bell Shuttle – Enjoy an evening drive around the historic Village on a "decked out" hay wagon as you learn about Kentucky's largest National Historic Landmark.

Tree Lighting - Gather with your family and friends around our outdoor Christmas Tree at 6:30pm for the lighting of the tree.

Donations – Donations of new gloves, hats, scarves and non-perishable food for the Shaker Village Giving Tree will be collected and given to local families in need.

The Shops Extended Hours – The Shops have been filled to the brim with new merchandise brought in to celebrate the holiday season. Enjoy 10% off your purchases from 4-8:00 p.m.
