2023 Photography Workshops
Two Workshops in 2023
Join photographer Carol Peachee as she leads this hands-on workshop to explore the elements of a good photograph. Set in the inspirational backdrop of Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill, this 4-hour workshop can be taken as a follow-up to Elements of a Good Photograph 1, or on its own. Participants are certain to leave feeling inspired, and with a greater confidence in their ability to take great photos.
Participants must be at least 18 years of age, and will need to bring their own camera. Cameras my range from phones to 35mm, but participants must have a basic working knowledge of their own camera.
Elements of a Good Photograph 2
Saturday, August 26 | 10:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Elements of a Good Photograph 2 explores how to take the next step beyond basic elements in creating strong images. In the first half of the workshop (10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.) participants will explore basic concepts in balance, composition and depth of field by looking at and discussing example images and how to create them.
During the second half of the workshop (1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.) participants will have an opportunity to go out into the Village to put the concepts into practice, then return to analyze and discuss our results. You will leave this day with more confidence in your photographic skills, and a deeper understanding of what goes into successful capture of a strong image.
