2024 Equine Festival

Saturday, November 2, 2024 | 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. | West Lot Stables

Plan for a day of celebrating all things equestrian! Come out to shop, eat, learn, and enjoy yourself surrounded by horses and the beautiful scenery of Shaker Village.

We have partnered with Big Red Stables to provide participants the opportunity to explore some of Shaker Village's Trails on a guided horseback ride. Pre-register by texting Emily at 502-330-8798 prior to the event. Each ride is $95 and can be booked at 10:45a.m., 12:15p.m., 2p.m., and 3:30p.m.

The Fort Harrod Back Country Horsemen will be leading demonstrations on the equine obstacle course. They will demonstrate proper grooming techniques, and you will have an opportunity to practice on a real horse.

Kids will have a blast in the Craft Tent and are encouraged to come dressed as a cowboy or cowgirl and participate in a stick horse race. The stick horse that crosses the finish line first will get a special prize.
