Equestrian vendors will be setup in the West Lot Stable area selling tack, art, apparel and other horse-related items. It's the perfect chance to complete your holiday shopping for horse lovers on your list.
Demonstrations
Meet the Peace Ponies of Pine Knoll Center for Integrated Horsemanship and the Horse Human Connection. Not only will these lovable horses make you smile, being in their presence will help you connect with nature, savor the present, and bring you an instant dose of joy.
The Backcountry Horsemen will be leading demonstrations on the equine obstacle course. Join them for 30-minute sessions (weather dependent) at 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. discussing the goals and training benefits of working with the obstacles, and live demonstrations with their horses.
If you’ve always wanted to get your hands on a horse, feel that velvety nose and just enjoy the closeness of this amazing animal then this is your chance to learn how to care for them. The Fort Harrod Back Country Horsemen will demonstrate proper grooming techniques and you will have an opportunity to practice on a real horse.
Unlimited Equine Bodywork, LLC. (UEB) will be demonstrating equine massage therapy and providing educational materials on the topic. They'll demonstrate how to perform carrot stretches with your equine partner and give tips to make sure the stretch is engaging the correct muscles for strengthening and flexibility. UEB utilizes manual massage strokes, myofascial release, Surefoot pads, red light therapy and acupressure in their sessions.
Trail Ride
Saddle up for a guided 45-minute trail ride with one of Big Red Stables' horses for an additional fee of $90. See below for guided ride details.

Guided trail rides are available on a first-come first-serve basis on the day of the event. The $90 cash only fee per rider can be purchased onsite. Ride times are available at: 10:30 a.m., 12:00 p.m., 1:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Time slots are limited to six riders. Height and weight limits can be found at www.bigredstablesky.com. Participants must arrive to their scheduled ride time at least 20 minutes early. Release forms will be given after purchase, and must be returned to Big Red Stables.
