2024 Leaders in Training
July 8 - 12 | 7:30 am - 5:30 pm | Ages 15-16
The Leaders in Training (LIT) program for campers ages 15-16 is designed to support growth in your child's leadership skills by developing their abilities to plan for and implement successful group initiatives.
During this week-long camp, your child will participate in trainings to earn certifications in first aid, CPR and babysitter safety. Your teen will also help to plan a full day hike to the Kentucky River and an Explorer Camp Field Day. Throughout the week these leaders will explore setting goals, anticipating challenges and considering how to ensure a safe and positive outcome for everyone involved.
Campers will also take part in progressive daily teambuilding activities to guide their development both as leaders and as members of a team. Each day will have plenty of time for additional games, recreational activities and fun built into the schedule.
Pricing: $265 per camper
Register before April 1: $235 per camper
Registration fee includes full-day programming throughout the week, two healthy snacks per day (one AM, one PM: granola bar, cheese stick, piece of fruit, etc.), one Shaker Village bandana and other "swag," and free annual family membership ($150 value - begins after camp attendance). Campers must bring their own non-perishable sack lunch.
