The greatest combination of live music, amazing food and a farm-fresh setting you could ever imagine! Join us for an evening on the lawn between the historic 1839 Trustees’ Office and the Shaker Village garden.

Music on the Lawn features live music, outdoor dining, drinks and specialty cocktails around the fire pit. Don’t forget to enjoy a marshmallow roast, grab a cocktail and then take in a special evening tour.

No admission is required, and music begins at 5:30 pm.

* Outdoor dining is limited, and weather dependent.
* Seating on the lawn is limited. Please bring your own lawn chair!
* Admission only required if attending tours or indoor exhibits.
* No outside alcoholic beverages are allowed to be brought onto the premises.

Learn about traditional rug hooking and spinning with fiber artist Fran Decker. Join in on the fun and learn how these beautiful pieces are made. Fran’s work will be available for purchase at the Welcome Center.

Fran is a local fiber artist who has been the Shaker Village resident artist for the past six years. Her concentration has been on the traditional art of rug hooking where she combines her love of wool with the history of the Shaker rug makers.

Currently, her series "From Sheep to Sheep" uses the raw wool sheared at the Village from the Rambouillet and Shetland sheep. She processes their fleece into yarn and then "hooks" the wool into the images of the sheep the fleece came from.

* Demonstrations take place at the Welcome Center, and participation is included with Admission to Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill
