Bring the kids and explore Shaker Village’s streams and ponds to identify rarely seen native species. Learn how to safely study and handle these living creatures and how we can work together to make our waterways healthy habitats.

This program is for guests ages 5 and up. All minors must be accompanied by an adult.

Are you ready for a twilight adventure through the Palisades? Paddle the Kentucky and Dix rivers as sunset falls over the cliffs. This 2-hour guided trip is led by Canoe Kentucky and leaves from nearby Shaker Landing.

Suitable for ages 12 and older. Program fee includes one complimentary admission to Shaker Village and one voucher redeemable day-of for 20% off dining at the Trustees’ Table (excluding alcoholic beverages).

Owls are creatures that have fascinated humans for thousands of years. Hunting in our forests at night, owls are mysterious and rarely seen by human eyes.

Join us for an evening in the woods and learn all about these amazing animals. After dark, we will call—and listen—for owls in the surrounding trees!

The Owl Prowl fee is included with your general admission ticket. Admission to be paid at the Welcome Center. Pre-registration is highly recommended!

Join the Bluegrass Amateur Astronomy Club to view the wonders of the night sky. Using a variety of telescopes, on clear nights you will be able to observe objects within our solar system, as well as a wide variety of deep space objects. Knowledgeable club members will ensure you are not only inspired, but informed!

Each viewing is free to the public, and weather dependent. If there is a chance of cloud cover, please call to confirm viewing that day.

Minors should have adult supervision.
