Uncover the paths of unique individuals who each spent a considerable portion of their lives at Pleasant Hill in very different ways. Visit the work places and homes of African Americans who helped shape a community working to build heaven on earth.

Walk through millions of years of geologic time as you descend along the river road into the Kentucky River Palisades. Our guides will show how the geology of the region has shaped what we see above ground today!

Directions to the Welcome Center: After turning into Shaker Village from US-68, turn left at the three-way stop. Immediately turn right into the large parking lot. The Welcome Center is the red brick building that sits at the northeast corner of the parking lot.
