Shaker Village continues its annual tradition of supporting the Great American Brass Band Festival by hosting Lexington Chamber Brass for a special performance on The Trustees' Table lawn.

You won't want to miss this incredible event, pairing world-class music with the backdrop of historic Shaker Village. In addition to the music, enjoy drinks from the outdoor bar, take a stroll in the garden, attend an evening tour and stick around for dinner and more Music on the Lawn throughout the evening.

* Seating is limited, so please bring your own lawn chair.

About Lexington Chamber Brass

Lexington Chamber Brass is a professional brass quintet that performs throughout the bluegrass region including Danville’s Great American Brass Band Festival, and Pleasant Hill’s Shaker Village.

Featuring Paul Hickner and Dr. Jeffrey Walter Doll playing the trumpet, Adrienne McKinney playing the horn, Dr. William Meckley playing the trombone and Brett Evans playing the bass trombone.

Join Shaker Village and Adventure Theatre as we partner to explore the "romanticism of the river" through the eyes of Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn.

Using a retired riverboat as their stage, Tom and Huck will share some of their favorite childhood adventures along the Mississippi River. They, and their troupe of friends, will also be "telling tales" and "spinning yarns" from the history of travel along the Kentucky River.

Joining the fun will be the Huckleberry Bluegrass Band, with performances both before and during the show.

Bring your lawn chair or blanket, grab some food and a beverage from the Shaker Landing Barn Bar, and settle in for an unbelievably unique and immersive experience that is pure Kentucky!

General Admission tickets are non-refundable. In the case of cancellation, tickets will transfer to a makeup date on Friday, August 9 on a first-come, first-served basis.

In the case of cancellation, attendees that purchase rain insurance will receive first priority ticket transfers to the show on Friday, August 9.

If you are unable to attend the makeup date you will be issued a $50 refund

VIP Admission

Ages 21+

$75 per person
Arrival: 6:15 p.m.
Show starts at 7:30 p.m.

Attendees with a VIP ticket will receive priority parking, preferred seating, a complimentary cocktail and enjoy a 30-minute program on the history of
Shaker Landing.

VIP tickets include rain insurance and will be the first to receive ticket transfers to the performance on Friday, August 9 in the event of cancellation.

If you are unable to attend the makeup date, you will be issued a $68 refund
per ticket.

Important Details

Please arrive 30 minutes prior to showtime at the River Road entrance on Highway 68.  Event tickets will not be mailed in advance.

Lawn seating is first-come, first-served, and guests should bring their own lawn chairs and/or blankets.

The Barn Bar at Shaker Landing will be selling concessions, pulled chicken, with vegetarian options and sides. Beer, wine, a specialty cocktail and non-alcoholic beverages will also be available for purchase.

In 1980, when Charles Jolly first delved into painting, he began at Pleasant Hill in hopes of better understanding the site and its elusive qualities. This act of painting and passion continues to this day. Jolly returns to Pleasant Hill again and again, depicting the longstanding, intertwined existence of Shaker-built structures and natural landscapes through his art. “When I paint today,” he says, “I cannot help but see yesterday as well.”

Register below to attend the exhibit grand opening. Appetizers and beverages are included, and a cash bar will be available. Pleasant Hill Paintings: An Exhibition of Works by Charles Jolly is located on the 2nd floor of the Centre Family Dwelling, with access available by stairs.

Join us for a session of yoga and a guided stand up paddle tour at Shaker Landing! We'll begin with a one-hour yoga class (on land) led by Stacy Taylor with Yoga Social. Following yoga, participants will enjoy a guided group stand up paddle trip (1.5 hours) led by Kentucky by Paddle that leaves from Shaker Landing. Paddle (standing up) through the Kentucky and Dix Rivers amongst the cliffs and High Bridge.

Land Yoga & Stand Up Paddleboarding: $89 per person

Come with your own yoga mat in tow. We will get you fitted for everything you'll need on the water.

This program is for guests ages 12 and up. Ages 12-17 must be accompanied by a paying adult. Advanced purchase is required, no on-site purchases.

Guests should plan to arrive 10 minutes ahead of their start time and meet at the bottom of River Road (Shaker Ferry Road) located .25 miles east of the main Shaker Village entrance, on the opposite side of US 68. There is a Shaker Landing sign at the road’s entrance.
