2026 Small Ruminant Grazing Demonstration

: For the past year, Shaker Village has been utilizing small ruminants as a tool to manage brush encroachment on prairie plantings and control the spread of invasive species such as bush honeysuckle. Join members of Shaker Village's farm and preserve teams for an interactive introduction to sheep and goat grazing at the Village. The demonstration will begin with an opportunity to see the goats and sheep of Shaker Village at work on the preserve, followed by a presentation and discussion on rotational grazing strategies for small ruminants.

This walk will take place outdoors, rain or shine. Water bottles and closed-toe shoes are recommended.
All minors must be accompanied by a ticketed adult. Tickets required for all attendees.
