2026 summer stargazing: Perseids Meteor Shower

The annual Perseids meteor shower is a wonderful time to enjoy a relaxing evening of stargazing at Shaker Village! After a brisk 1.0-1.5 mile-hike to the best stargazing location at Shaker Village we’ll have blankets for you to spread out on the grass as we discuss summer constellations and the phenomenon of meteor showers. Don’t forget to make a wish on your first “shooting star.”

This program will take place outdoors, and is subject to cancellation in case of inclement weather or heavy cloud cover. If cancellation is necessary, Shaker Village will contact all registered guests.
Participants should be comfortable walking in low light/semi-dark conditions on uneven ground. Participants may wish to bring a flashlight/headlamp, insect repellant and water. This event is intended for ages 12+. Tickets required for all attendees. Dogs are not permitted.
Registered attendees who book an overnight stay at The Inn receive a 30% discount, applied at checkout. (Overnight stay must be for the date immediately preceding or succeeding the program. Discount applies to one night. Cannot be combined with other offers. Overnight stay must be booked through Shaker Village and not through a 3rd party website.)
