American Holly
The American Holly is a small, slow-growing, broadleaf evergreen with a thick crown and pyramidal form, usually with branches down to the ground.
Its bright, showy red berries attract many songbirds including the mockingbird, robin, catbird, and bluebird. Confined to the eastern U.S and found most often in moist woods, holly trees have a long history of use for holiday traditions in both Christian and Pagan celebrations.
