Shaker Village Temporarily Closed

On the instruction of public health officials and Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear we have made the difficult decision to temporarily close Shaker Village to the public. After much thought and consideration, the safety and well-being of our guests and staff must come first. We will reopen to guests when the COVID-19 virus spread has been mitigated and health officials indicate we can open safely to the public.
This closure impacts access to all hiking trails, The Preserve, The Farm, The Inn, The Historic Centre, The Shops and The Trustees’ Table restaurant. We will have staff on-site to care for our farm animals, historic buildings and grounds during the closure.
As a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit it is especially difficult to close our doors as we depend on the generous contributions made by our guests, friends and supporters. Now, more than ever we look to you to ensure that Shaker Village is able to continue its mission of sharing the legacies of the Kentucky Shakers with future generations.
