Are you ready for a twilight adventure through the Palisades? Paddle the Kentucky and Dix Rivers as sunset falls over the cliffs. This 2-hour guided trip is led by Canoe Kentucky and leaves from nearby Shaker Landing.

Suitable for ages 12 and older. Program fee includes one complimentary admission to Shaker Village and one voucher redeemable day-of for 20% off dining at The Trustees’ Table (excluding alcoholic beverages).

The night sky and the cosmos have been a source of inspiration and amazement throughout human history. Join us for an evening at Pleasant Hill and explore the starry sky! On this gentle hike through the Preserve, take in the wonders of the prairie and forest at night while discovering some of the mysteries and curiosities of the universe. Along the way, we will observe constellations and learn about comets, meteors, and shooting stars. After the hike, spread out a quilt and take in the Perseids meteor shower!

Minors must be accompanied by an adult. Participants should be at the Welcome Center by 8:00 pm. All guests should bring flashlights that they can use to assist them return to their vehicles or rooms at the conclusion of the evening.

The Pleasant Hill Shakers were first and foremost Kentuckians rooted in an agricultural industry. What was their relationship with Kentucky’s greatest crop exports, tobacco and hemp? Were any of their grains distilled into liquor, or fruits into wine? Discover the Shakers’ role in Kentucky’s most famous crops.

All ages are welcome. Meet outside The Trustees' Office 10 minutes before the program.

We'll be selling our certified-organic produce fresh from the Shaker Garden along with cut flowers from our beds and other farm items like mushroom logs. Join us outside the Welcome Center as we share our incredible produce with our neighbors from around the region.
