Bats are fascinating creatures and an essential part of our ecosystem, and yet they remain one of our most misunderstood mammals. Join us for a nighttime stroll through the fields and forests of Pleasant Hill as we dispel myths and learn about their habitat and food needs. We'll even have special acoustic "bat boxes" to listen in on the local bat population as they use ultrasonic squeaks to navigate their environment.

General Admission: $25

Wildflower LG

Join Judson Collins for a hike through the Preserve to look for late-spring wildflowers! Participants will likely see many spring wildflowers in bloom, and learn how to identify them. Central Kentucky's limestone soils are home to some of the largest and showiest colonies of plants like Yellow Trout-lily (Erythronium americanum), Blue-eyed Mary (Collinsia verna), and Woodland Phlox (Phlox divaricata). Water bottles and closed-toe shoes are recommended.
