Butterflies

Take a guided stroll through the historic Village grounds and get a closer look at some of the many butterflies that call it home. Participants will learn how to responsibly catch and view butterflies while learning more about each species' life history.

Can’t get enough of butterflies and moths? July 19th is “Lepidoptera Day” at Shaker Village! Consider joining us for our nighttime Moth Hike in addition to this daytime walk

Annual Passholder: $10
General Admission: $20

Participants will traverse gravel, grass, and dirt pathways on a 1.0-1.5 mile loop along Shaker Village's grounds. Participants should be comfortable traversing uneven terrain (mown grass and gravel).

The Butterfly Walk is intended for all ages. All minors must be accompanied by a ticketed adult. Tickets required for all attendees.

All tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Dress your little ones in their holiday finery for an afternoon tea with Mrs. Claus in our historic West Lot Dwelling. Enjoy seasonal sips, cookies and sandwiches made for little fingers. Afterward, stay for story time with Mrs. Claus!
